More and more people attach particular importance to high-quality, regional products. In addition to outstanding quality, which is reflected in the taste, the distances between the field or greenhouse and the plate should be as short as possible in order to be adequate for the future of our planet. Erzeugergroßmarkt NRW concentrates on marketing fruit and vegetables from regional cultivation in North Rhine-Westphalia and clearly distinguishes itself from the competition through investments and innovations in the cultivation of regional products. As a member of the interest group “NRW isst gut” (NRW eats well), Erzeugergroßmarkt NRW has also been recognised for its special commitment to the region of NRW as socially, environmentally and transparently responsible.
Through special cultivation programmes and long-term, far-reaching partnerships with regional producers, Erzeugergroßmarkt NRW ensures that many products that are not currently cultivated are returned to the NRW region. Producers are provided with the necessary know-how and equipment (e.g. harvesting machines) and supported by financial aid from Erzeugergroßmarkt NRW in order to produce local products according to plan with regard to cultivation and harvesting. Even in winter the wholsaler market ensures that fruit and vegetables are available to everyone in the supermarkets and imports the goods that cannot be grown regionally from Espana.
